Sadly, it’s not that different from where the world stood in 2008 when the last great soulful protest album – Nadir’s Working for the Man, was released. In times like these, it falls on our artists to give voice to the people’s rage, and on Mommy, What’s a Depression? Crockett proves that she is up to the task. Highly Recommended.
